Impact Story: Jopwell

A recent study from McKinsey & Co. found that “more diverse companies and institutions are achieving better performance,” and encourages institutions to invest in the next generation of global leaders across race, ethnicity and gender. The study also recognizes that many companies face challenges in execution even if they are intending to improve the diversity of their workforce and leadership.

Jopwell, a New York based company founded in 2015, tries to fill this specific gap. Jopwell is a career advancement platform for Black, Latino and Native American professionals. Clients, like large multinational firms, can gain access to talent listed on Jopwell and use many of its tools to find the right candidates for job openings, while job-seekers can use the website for fee.

Jopwell is connecting its 25,000+ users (99%+ Black, Latino, or Native American) with its 50+ paying customers, including the likes of Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Pfizer, and The New York Times.
