We believe that everyone can benefit from independent financial advice, but know that not everyone is able to pay our fees. As part of our mission to serve others, we have created four ways you can improve your financial life for no (or very little) cost.

Read some of our published educational material

Our founders and advisors have created several self-study resources (books, online courses, and worksheets). Most of these resources are free and can be found on our Self-Study page.

Attend one of our educational events

We hold educational events in our offices and stream them on Facebook Live. Take a look at our calendar for future events and recordings of our past events. We have spoken about retirement investing, buying or renting a home, saving for college, debt management, helping elderly parents, the nuts and bolts of the financial world.  See upcoming events

Ask us to speak to your group

Our advisors frequently speak at conferences and special events. We can create a customized presentation for your group. We’ve spoken on a wide range of topics at schools, nonprofits, spiritual and religious centers, and other organizations. Reach out about group talks

Apply for a free financial check-up

For those who need some one-on-one help, we offer a limited number of free financial check-ups which usually last 1 to 2 hours.  We’ll give you a sense of where you are, how you can shift your money habits, and how you can reach your life goals.  Apply for the program

How we select people, families or organizations for this program

We select clients from the list of applications based on whether or not we feel we can add value to the person’s life.

We might help you…

  • Plan for retirement
  • Create a savings plan
  • Review your insurance policies
  • Figure out whether to buy or rent a home
  • Review your financial assets and/or insurance

* We do not waive our fees for investment management. Our pro bono programs are subject to the availability of our advisors.
