Introducing Our New Web Portal

Today, we are focusing our newsletter on new technology that can help you better access your Abacus account information. A few years ago we revamped our paper/PDF quarterly reports and launched the first version of our Web portal. Now we are updating our systems. We are thrilled to report that our technology partners have worked hard on our new Web portal, and we hope you’ll agree we’ve succeeded.

Our new Web portal is available now. You can log in at abacuswealth.com/client-login.

What You Need to Know

If you have a login to our old portal, your login information is unchanged. If you don’t have a login, please contact your Abacus advisor or client service associate.

Here are four great things you can do with the new portal.

  1. Quickly see what you’re invested in. The new portal allows you to review your accounts at any level of detail, from a quick pie chart showing your total balance, down to a list of each individual holding in each account, including cost basis. If you’re not sure why you want that information, just rest assured that your CPA will be happy to have it.
  2. Review how much you’ve put in and taken out of your portfolio. You can look at a very high-level chart showing the balance of your account over time or a detailed list of each deposit and withdrawal by account.
  3. See detailed performance. While our general philosophy is that you shouldn’t look at the short-term performance of your accounts, we’re taking a leap and giving you access to our in-depth performance calculator. You can look at high-level performance by account or asset class, or you can drill down and review the performance of each individual fund. If you start checking too often and stress yourself out, we reserve the right to take away your access to save your peace of mind.
  4. Download your documents. Instead of having to log in to TD Ameritrade or Schwab’s portal, you can find your custodian’s monthly statements and tax forms (e.g., 1099s) on our new portal. You can also access your old Abacus statements and your Box.com files from inside the portal.

There Is One More Thing!

We are also launching our new free iPhone* and Android apps with the same functionality as the Web portal. Just search the app store for Abacus Wealth Partners and use the same login credentials as your Web portal.

*The iPhone app will be available in late October to mid-November 2014.
